It is not my intent to do anything nefarious with any of your data.
- I will not sell your information to any third parties.
- I try to collect as little personal information as possible.
Information I'd collect would be:
- Your IP address, for auditing purposes. In some cases I actually just store a hash of the IP.
- Your first and last name, if provided by authentication.
- Your email address, if provided by authentication.
- Geographic IP location to help with regional google maps searches or other use cases.
- Google analytics.
With that out of the way, I must state that I am not a lawyer
I provide many things out of the goodness of my own heart, but I am not keen on lawsuits.
Therefore, prepare yourself for the most one sided privacy policy you've ever had to read through.
- If you are from Europe (Or any other GDPR region), stop using the website.
I cannot guarantee that I am following every new GDPR rule like showing you
a cookie banner every time I want to use Google Analytics. That said, who am I
to determine if you are really from the EU or if you are just using a proxy to
access my website from a European VPN? Hmm. Surely if you continue to use the
website, that must mean you are not from one of those regions. Right? Totally.
Great, glad we all agree. If you keep using my website, that's up to you.
- If you do see some law violation, you must bring it to my attention so that I can fix it.
- I reserve the right to use analytics to figure out how people are discovering me.
- I reserve the right to track which of my features are being used or not.
- I added this privacy policy so that I could use Google's oAuth.
That's it. Happy browsing!
